Ángel Ulerio is one of the most acclaimed pianists of his generation and one of the greatest exponents of classical music of the Dominican Republic and the Americas. Ulerio has presented recitals at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, and Town Hall among major New York City music halls. As a soloist, he has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Brooklyn College Orchestra.
Ulerio studied at the Manhattan School of Music with Nina Svetlanova and Solomon Mikowsky, and at the Brooklyn College Conservatory with the distinguished pianist Agustín Anievas. In the Dominican Republic, he studied at the National Conservatory of Music with Liselotte de Escobal and Ramon Díaz. He is a graduate of numerous technical seminars and piano pedagogy in the United States and Europe and has been the recipient of numerous scholarships for piano and music festivals in Spain.
Ulerio is founder and director of The Music Academy in Mamaroneck, New York, and musical director of First Hispanic Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg, New York.
